Changes made in the LSAT India 2024
- LSAT India authority has increased the number of questions from 100 to 115.
- Time duration has been increased from 2 hours 20 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes.
- A new unscored section christened as the Variable one with 23 questions is added. Questions in this section are asked from any of the asked topics including Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension.
- Topics of the variable section are not specified before the exam.
LSAT India 2024 Application form is available on its official website discoverlaw.in. Application form is released on December 6, 2024, and the last date to fill the application form is scheduled for April 14, 2024.
Aspirants should start preparing 5-6 months before the exam. This will help them to cover the complete syllabus. LSAT India 2024 provides a preparation book named as “Superprep” to guide aspirants in their preparation. Aspirants are advised to go through the “Superprep”.

LSAC conducts both the LSAT India and LSAT Abroad. The question pattern is designed by the LSAC to the candidate’s ability to think critically and draw conclusions from the given text.
LSAC India is a national level exam conducted to offer admission to law courses in more than 80 associating colleges within India. LSAC abroad is conducted to offer admission to law schools across the world.
In spite of the same syllabus, and exam pattern, there are few key differences between these two entrance exams.
- Unlike LSAT Abroad, LSAT-India has no experimental section or writing samples.
- LSAT-India scores are valid only for Indian law school. LSAT is valid only for ABA aggregated law schools in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries.
- LSAT-India has less duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes as compared to LSAT. The duration of LSAT is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
- LSAT Abroad score ranges between 120-180 but LSAT-India score is released in percentiles.
- LSAT Abroad is conducted in digital mode ever since 2019 while LSAT-India is conducted in traditional Pen & Paper mode.
- LSAT-India score is valid only for one year
- Validity of LSAT-Abroad score is 5 years.
