
AILET Counseling 2024
NLU, Delhi, conducts the AILET Counselling to allot seats to the successful candidates. Seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of their marks and their rank in the respective exam.
NLU, Delhi, will issue counselling call letters to the Candidates who get their name ranked within the merit list. Call letter will be made available online that candidates have to download.
NLU, Delhi, will conduct the AILET counselling and seat allotment process in offline mode. It will start either in the last week of May or first week of June.

The AILET counselling 2024 will include several steps like downloading the counselling letter, verification of documents payment of counselling fee and seat allotment.
Candidates will have to report to the NLU, Delhi, on stipulated date and time with all the documents required for the counselling. The documents are needed to be produced in original for verification.
AILET Counseling is conducted in multiple phases. Last year, it was conducted in six phases. For every round of counselling, cut offs will be announced separately.

How to Participate in the AILET 2024 Counseling

Shortlisted candidates will have to follow the given steps to complete the counselling process.
CLEAR EXAM presents the steps to participate in AILET Counselling
Step I: Log on to the official website of NLU, Delhi.
Step II: Download the counselling call letter issued by NLU, Delhi.
Step III: Report to the NLU, Delhi, campus on the stipulated time.
Step IV: Mark your attendance by signing the attendance sheet.
Step V: Produce the document required for verification.
NOTE: If a candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria or their documents false, their candidature will be cancelled and they will not be allowed for admission even if their name is ranked within the merit list.
Step VI: Seats will be allotted to candidates on basis of the merit list, the order of preference and the seat availability.
Step VII: Once the seat is allotted candidates need to pay admission fee of Rs 50,000 to confirm their admission.
Mode of payment: Fees will be paid in the form of DEMAND DRAFT drawn in favour of “The Registrar, NLU, Delhi”.

AILET Seat Allotment 2024

Seat allotment is part of the counselling process and the seats are allotted only to those who have successfully completed the counselling process.
AILET Seat allotment will be conducted on the basis of marks scored and rank in the merit list.
There are 110 seats for BA LLB and 70 seats for LLM offered through AILET. Fifty percent of total seats are reserved for the candidates from Delhi.
NLU, Delhi, also offers admission to foreign nationals through direct admission on 10 seats for both the programs separately from AILET 2024.
Reservation of Seats as Per the NLU, Delhi, Guidelines
Delhi Region Seats: Half the seats are reserved for the students passing their qualifying exam from the Colleges, Institutes and Schools located within the National Capital Region of Delhi.
All India Level Seats: The students passing qualifying examination from anywhere in India including Delhi are eligible under this category.
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories: As many as 15 percent seats are reserved for the SC Candidates. Remaining 7.5 percent of seats are reserved for ST candidates. Candidates have to produce a valid certificate issued by the authorities to avail category benefits.
Persons with Disabilities (PwD)- Reservation of 5% is being provided to the differently-abled candidates classified under PwD category. Candidates need to produce a PwD certificate issued by the authorities.
Other Backward Class (OBC Non-Creamy Layer)- Altogether 22 percent seats are reserved for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Category. Candidates need to submit the non-creamy layer certificate issued on or after January 1, 2024 avail OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) benefits.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS)- 10% of seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
NOTE: Vacant seats for Reserved category are to be treated as unreserved seats. Admission to these seats are offered on merit basis.

What Next After AILET Counselling?
Once the seats are allotted candidates have to complete the rest of the formalities of admission.
To lock the allotted seat, candidates have to deposit the fees of Rs 50,000 within the specified time. Fees are deposited in the form of a DEMAND DRAFT in favour of “The Registrar, National Law University, Delhi” and is payable at Delhi.
What If Someone Fails To Deposit The Fee Within The Given Time?
If a candidate fails to submit the fees within the due date their admission will get cancelled. The vacant seat will then be transferred to another candidate.
