
AILET Admission 2024
NLU, Delhi, is all set to offer admission to the two law courses: BA LLB, LLM through AILET 2024. There are 110 seats available for BA LLB and 70 for LLM. Candidates should fill in the application form if they choose to participate in the AILET admission process 2024.
NLU, Delhi, has already released AILET 2024 application form on its official website: nludelhi.ac.in. The application form came out on January 15, 2024 and the last date to submit the application form is scheduled for April 8, 2024.

NLU, Delhi, will conduct the AILET 2024 on May 3, 2024. Candidates need to topple the cut off to ensure their admission in NLU, Delhi. The AILET eligibility criteria is a must for anyone to participate in AILET Admission 2024. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility criteria will not be allowed for admission.
Candidates, after completion of the AILET counselling process, need to pay the remaining fees within the stipulated period of time. Failing to do so may lead to the cancellation of admission.

AILET 2024 Admission Process
AILET 2024 Admission Process includes filling up of the application form, counselling process, seat allotment process and document-verification process.
Steps to complete the AILET Admission process :
- Successful candidates will report to NLU, Delhi, for the counselling process.
- Candidates will carry original as well as copies of the required documents for verification.
- After the document verification seats will be allotted.
- After seat allotment, candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 50,000 in the form of Demand Draft (DD) confirming their admission. The DD should be in favour of “The Registrar, National Law University Delhi” which is payable at NLU, Delhi.
- Once the seat is locked by the candidate, a provisional admission letter will be issued.
- The candidates receiving the provisional admission letter will have to pay the remaining fee within a specified period.
- Candidates failing to report to the allotted NLU on the given date will not be allowed for further admission process.
- Candidates failing to deposit the admission fee will be treated not interested ones and their respective seats vacant.
- Candidates failing to submit the remaining fee within the allotted period will get their provisional admissions cancelled.
Reservation for Students
General: Of the 110 seats NLU, Delhi, has to offer, only 25 seats are there for those from the General (All India Category) students.
Delhi Region Seats: Half the seats are reserved for students who have passed their qualifying exam from schools, colleges and institutes located within the national capital region of Delhi.
All India Seats: The students passing their qualifying examination from anywhere in India including Delhi are eligible under this category.
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories- 15% seats are reserved for the candidates from SC category while 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates. To claim reservation under these categories, candidates must present a valid certificate issued by competent authorities.
Persons with Disabilities (PWD)- Reservation of 5% has been provided to the differently-abled candidates falling under Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category. Candidates interested in availing PWD benefits need to the PWD certificate issued by competent authorities.
Other Backward Class (OBC Non-Creamy Layer)- 22% seats are reserved for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Category. Candidates need to submit the non-creamy layer certificate issued on or after January 1, 2024.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS)- 10% of seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
NOTE: Vacant seats for reserved category will be treated as unreserved seats. The seats will then be offered to those from unreserved category on the basis of merit.

Fee structure of NLU, Delhi, varies in accordance with the course chosen. Total fees for LLM is Rs 1.85 lakh annually. For BA LLB, the annual fee is Rs 1.86 lakh.

NOTE: It is mandatory to secure a minimum of 40 percent (30% for SC & ST candidates) in AILET to be eligible for admission. The university reserves the right to keep the seats vacant in case no one gets through the cut off.
What if someone wants to withdraw the admission or fails to join after admission?
If a candidate fails to join after admission or wants to withdraw their admission, quarter of the fees submitted will be deducted. Remaining 75% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
The deduction will be utilized to aid the students from economically backward background. The assistance is to be based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by NLU Vice-Chancellor.
AILET Admission 2024: Important Points
- General merit candidates have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in AILET 2024 to be eligible for admission process.
- For those from SC & ST categories, a minimum of 30 percent is a must.
- Successful candidates need to report to the NLU, Delhi, for counselling on the stipulated date and time.
- Candidates need to carry the documents required and a DD of Rs 50,000 which shall be in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi”.
- Candidates have to pay the remaining fees on or before the due date. Failing to do so may lead to cancellation of their respective provisional admissions.
