Rituparna Patra's Journey to NLU... CLEAR EXAM Success Story (CLAT 2019)
Chose NLU Ranchi
"Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."
You may have heard many success stories, but the tale of Rituparna Patra is one of commitment to a goal and the courage to follow one’s dreams. Her story of getting admission in NLU is imbibed with sheer hard-work and dedication.Rituparna Patra has a modest family background. Her father, Mr. Brindaban Patra is a businessman (Gold & Diamond) ,her mother Mrs. Alpana Patra is a housewife and her sister Sriparna Patra is a student of class 10th. She originally hails from Kolkata, but has been born and brought up in New Delhi.
Rituparna did her schooling from Mayur Public School (IP Extension). She scored a CGPA of 9.4 in her 10th, which was coupled with a whopping 82.4% in her 12th standard. She opted Science-with biology stream in her senior secondary class.
Despite the fact that she comes from a background where none of her immediate family members are lawyers and being a science student in 12th, she had the courage to follow her life’s true call. Which is Law. Once she realized her purpose in life, she set herself up for the excruciating toil required to crack CLAT, one of India’s most competitive exams.
CLAT is an all India entrance examination conducted by the National Law Schools/Universities for admission in to their under-graduate and postgraduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M).
The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated under-graduation programmes in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws(LL.M) programmes conducted by these law universities. The two-hour admission test consists of objective type covering questions on Elementary Mathematics or Numerical Ability, English with Comprehension, General knowledge and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness and Logical reasoning.
Rituparna realized that she had a tough road to conquer. Having a science background, she was good in Maths and Reasoning. But she had to face the major impediments , i.e General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude. This is where SUCCESS MANTRA (CLEAR EXAM) came in to play.
