CLAT 2019 Analysis by CLEAR EXAM
The exam was time-consuming in comparison to CLAT 2016 exam. In CLAT 2016, there were 35 questions of Legal Reasoning and 15 questions of Legal Knowledge. But this time none of the questions were from Legal knowledge, though it was very disappointing for the students who have mugged up a lot of Legal Maxims, facts and various other parts of Legal Knowledge.
Surprises!
There was a certain surprise in the paper with not a single question from the Constitution of India and absolutely nothing from Legal Knowledge which is least expected in a Law Entrance Exam.
In GK & Current Affairs section, 45-46 questions were from Current Affairs, and hardly 3-4 questions appeared to be static, but they also had some relevance to something which happened recently. Most of these 45-46 current affairs questions were asked from the last 3-4 months.
CLAT 2019 detailed paper analysis section-wise
English Section: There were 40 questions asked in English. The English section was easy & doable. Though vocabulary questions were a bit tricky but manageable. The passage was easy to read, but a couple of the questions were tricky to do.
Numerical Ability (Elementary Maths): There were 20 questions asked in this section which were easy but with long calculations hence students couldn’t attempt all of them but they were doable. Most of the questions asked were from Arithmetic.
Logical Reasoning Section: There were 40 questions asked in this section which were mostly easy.
GK & Current Affairs section: There were 50 questions asked in this section. This section is hard to analyse as most of the questions had two similar options and if the student has not had accurate knowledge there is a chance of negative marking. Most of the students have faced problems only in this section.
Legal Aptitude: The easiest section of the exam was this. This section had 50 questions. Legal Aptitude section was time-consuming as compared to all the other sections. This time in the Legal Aptitude section all 50 questions were of Legal Reasoning. None of the questions were asked from Legal Knowledge & Constitution of India. (Very surprising)
