Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University BBA Program Admission Process
GGSIPU BBA entrance exam will be conducted in the year 2018 for the benefit of those students who wish to seek admission in the BBA program. The admissions will be based solely on merit and students who are appearing in the qualifying or grade XII exams can apply as well. The total number of seats are approximately 5000 and stay posted on information given in this article about how the seats will be filled. The admission process consists of the following steps
- Checking eligibility
- Application form filling and submission
- The entrance exam
- Results Counseling
- Filling up of available seats
- When one has registered for counseling and paid the counseling fee then choice filling supervenes.
- Filling up of seats is compassed by choice filling wherein choice of college and course both is divulged by students.
- Once this choice has been made by all students then the same information will be used for allocation of seats.
- The university appeals to the students to fill as many choices as is possible so that there is higher chance of getting the desired seat.
- It is very crucial that students pay heed to the advice that they fill all choices in the order of preference possible so that at the time of counseling no student faces a non allotment situation. This is especially for those students who plan to fill few and hemmed in options.
- The students can mutate their choices by adding and deleting choices and by modifying choices after they are allotted a seat in round 1. That leaves no reason for a student to not fill many choices.
- Also, once the choices have been decided by the applicant in the order of preference then the applicant should take a print out of the information where his/her choices are reflected.
- Now we will look at why there are more than one rounds of counseling. When a student secedes from the procedure, or decides on a seat and doesn't pay then such a seat remains unfilled in the first round and is open for those students who come for second round of counseling.
- Also, if all reserved candidates get a seat and some seats in the reserved category are still available then those seats are also offered to general category students.
- Important thing to note is that if a student wishes to absent himself from the admissions after being allotted a seat then there is a withdraw option in the account on the official portal and the leave should be taken within the stipulated time.
- Once a student exercises a withdraw option and singles out the refund of fee option then he or she cannot sit for further rounds but he or she can still sit for spot counseling.
- What is spot counseling? Spot counseling is offline counseling. Here all seats are for unreserved category and this process is for allotment of seats left vacant after the entire online development is over.
- If there is a candidate who scored a merit rank and has not taken admission in online counseling then he or she is eligible for coming for spot counseling.
- Students who earned a seat in online counseling, paid the fee of Rs 40,000 as admission fee and reported to their assigned college are referred to as admitted candidates.
