First of all remember that the exam is only as tough as you make it, so my first tip is that working hard is the key but along with it, you will need a faith in your ability.
When the date is near and you have only a week left then I suggest you make a time table wherein you study for at least 7-8 hours every day. Wake up early and spend the first two hours not studying. First of all every day go for a shower, get ready and have your breakfast so that when you start studying every daily chore is out of the way and you can concentrate with full dedication. Assuming you wake up at 8 then you will study from 10-12:30, from 2-3, 5-:730 and 8:30-10. i.e., seven and a half hours a day, and remember that is the minimum. I reiterate that this schedule still leaves you with time to shower and have breakfast in the morning, watching TV while having lunch and taking a 45 minutes nap in the afternoon. What you won't have time for is chit-chat with friends and family and that can wait for seven days and they'll be happy with your success and proud of your hard work so strictly follow this timetable or a timetable that you have made for yourself.
Pick up one subject and stay with it for one whole day. Let us say for Day 1 you have picked up English so remember that it's the English you studied in school but never be overconfident because the selection panel is there for a reason and that reason is their expertise and never get under confident either because there's nothing that hard work and faith in one's ability cannot achieve. Focus on grammar as well and practice to solve past five year question papers because 2-3 questions do get repeated. Take time into account when solving a paper because although slight but there is a chance you might be answering too slowly and will not be able to finish the paper.
CLAT 2018 Last Week Preparation Tips- Day 2 you could keep for GK. Although GK may not be done in a day but I have a trick. Take competition success magazines for last twelve months and indentify the biggest headlines.
CLAT 2018 Last Week Preparation Tips- Day 3 could be for Maths. Do not waste time solving Maths questions from 11th and 12th grade because the syllabus strictly says Maths taught till 10th grade. Past year questions will again come of use in a big way.
CLAT 2018 Last Week Preparation Tips day 4.
Legal aptitude --
This section is pretty scoring because the examiners are not expecting any legal knowledge. Remember it is your aptitude and not your technical knowledge which is being tested.
Logical and legal reasoning are not at all similar. Buy a book with logical reasoning questions for day 5 and you would be sorted. Only very few logical reasoning questions are difficult if you are prepared but the questions are also not so simple that you completely skip preparing.
Now two days are left. In this regard I would like to say is that there are two kinds of students. One kind get too anxious when they study last minute and the other kind get anxious when they do not study till the last minute so suit yourself. For those who do not want to spend the last two days studying you should stay confident by lapping up the blessings of elders and their encouragement. You could meditate, pray and even go play football if only for an hour or two. For those who want to spend every moment studying you should revise again.
On a parting note I would like to remind you that there is negative marking and .25 marks is enough for you to lose a rank so do calculated guesswork and make sure you have your stationery and documents ready. All the best!
